Cool. What I like is, from what I can tell, the scale length isn’t changed, is that right? So you have a “normal” classical if you want and then add the magnetic single string capos where you need them.

I can also imagine this on a steel string would give a new dimension to the folks playing in the tapping and harmonics gone wild style (not sure what the name is exactly :)).

I’d agree that the base tuning isn’t being altered. I use a partial capo and that’s to same way - the base tuning remains unchanged and the capo becomes the nut allowing you to play all of your standard cord forms only with an open-tuning vibe. It would be interesting to see what Jon Gomm or Andy Mackie would make of it…
